As the air starts cooling down the scout year starts heating up. The troop's calendar is filling up with meetings and camp outs so be sure to check it out. As always, things may change but we really try hard to put any changes out there, here or on our Facebook group as soon as we can. The troop newsletter has started going out so if you are not receiving it, please let Mr or Mrs Roby know so we can be sure we have correct contact information. Speaking of contact information, there will be new forms to fill out at the first troop meeting so we can keep our records up to date. Even if you think nothing has changed, please fill out a new form anyways, it just takes a couple minutes and it is the easiest way to be sure we can contact you. You can find a link to the form here if you prefer to get it done early.

Another housekeeping matter to bring up is medical forms. If your scout did not go to summer camp, chances are their medical form might need to be updated. You should always have a copy of your scout's BSA medical form *just in case*, but if you don't know when the one we have expires I will be happy to let you know.

Troop room cleanup. The troop room has been neglected and needs some work. Many hands make light work and the scouts need to be responsible for their equipment.
Monday, September 11 First Troop Meeting
Scouts are asked to meet for the 9/11 Memorial Dedication ceremony that begins at 6:30. The ceremony will be held at the Village's new 9/11 Memorial next to the Village Office on Front Street. Please wear class A uniforms and remember this is a solemn event and we expect our Scouts to act with the utmost respect. Depending on how long the ceremony takes there may be an abbreviated meeting, a full meeting as usual, or games at the church after.
