Good Morning Everyone!
I trust we all had a nice Thanksgiving spending time with our loved ones and reflecting on how lucky we are.  I know I did.

Some reminders.....
The Holiday parade is this Friday, December 2nd.  Scouts will meet at 6:00 at the old South Street School.  The parade starts at 6:30.  Even if you "forgot" to sign up just let Mr Roby know you will be there.  There will be hot cocoa and home made cookies in the Fellowship Room of the Church after the Parade.  Right now the weather is looking seasonable with temps in the low to mid 30s and only a 20% chance of rain.  Keep an eye on the weather though because it is always changing.

This Monday will be a PLC meeting at 6:00.  If you are a patrol leader or assistant patrol leader you should plan to attend.

Congratulations to Andrew R. and Vincent S. who were our troop's top popcorn sellers this year!  Way to go!!
Popcorn prizes will be in within the next couple of weeks.

Special Thank You to Mr. Sanders who has been our Popcorn Kernel for the past several years.  This was his last year helping us out with Popcorn and he will be handing the reigns over to someone new next year (we are needing someone to volunteer please).  In addition to being in charge of popcorn Mr. Sanders has supported the troop in many other ways.  He served time as an Assistant Scoutmaster, has attended many camp outs and has even spent entire weeks at summer camp.  He has said on many occasions that he enjoys seeing the effects of Scouting on our boys and how much they grow and mature while being in the Troop.  He has been an asset to the Troop and will be missed.

All Scouts will be using the new advancement requirements after Jan. 1.  You can find the new requirements here:  www.scouting.org/filestore/boyscouts/pdf/524-012_BS_Requirements.pdf
More information on the advancement change will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
There is a new handbook available here http://www.scoutstuff.org/bsa/literature-media/handbooks/handbook-bs-13-ed-pb-rs.html#.WD2j3Wq7qUk
or http://www.scoutstuff.org/bsa/literature-media/handbooks/handbook-bs-13-ed-coil-rs.html#.WD2kVGq7qUk
If you would rather I would be happy to pick one up for you at the Scout Store, just let me know.  It would make a great stocking stuffer  :-)

Congratulations to Kentaro T. who successfully completed his Board of Review for Second Class !!

Good Morning everyone!

Thank you to all the scouts who participated in Scouting For Food.  We collected just under 700 pounds of food!  That will go a long way in helping the food pantry keep our community fed.  Well done, everyone!

Popcorn will be in on Monday!!  If you sold popcorn please make every effort to be at the troop meeting on Monday to pick up your orders!!

If you signed up for this weekend's camp out check your email for a message from Mr Roby later this week with your permission slip.  Everyone will be meeting at the church at 6:00 on Friday.  If you haven't signed up, we will have to wait until Monday to hear about how the spaghetti tacos turned out.  The forecast, as of right now, doesn't look too bad but we will keep checking it as the weekend gets closer.  Camp outs can be cold this time of year.  Will you be prepared??

apparently it's a thing

We still need scouts to sign up for the Holiday Parade on December 2.  So far we can carry 2 flags and half of the troop banner .......

Have a great week!

 Good Morning Everyone,
Just some information and reminders to pass along today.

There will be no OA meeting this month.  The next OA meeting will be December 13 at 6:45 at the Corpus Christie Church.

This Saturday is the Scouting For Food pick up day.  Thank you everyone who is participating!  When you have picked up all the bags of food that have been left bring them to the food pantry at the church between the hours of 11am and 1pm.  Don't forget to keep track of how many hours you spent distributing and picking up bags as well as how many bags you collect.  For anyone who does not know where the food pantry is..... if you are standing behind the church looking at the door we come in for troop meetings, it will be on your right on the other side of the chain link fence.  If you look at the building right next to the church you will see a ramp that leads right to the food pantry.  If you cannot get to the food pantry during these hours you can bring whatever you collect to the troop meeting, we will see that it gets there.

The church has asked for help raking leaves at the parsonage this weekend.  If you are participating in Scouting For Food, please try to get that done as early as possible and go right to the parsonage.  There will be lunch available if you are there early enough.  This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone needing service hours.  The parsonage is located at 146 Juniper Dr in Ballston Spa.  See the map below.

There will be a SM/ASM meeting at 6:00 before the Troop Meeting on November 14

There will be a Troop Committee Meeting on Tuesday November 15 at 7:00pm in the large classroom.  All are welcome.

The Troop will be camping Nov 18-20 at Camp Wakpominee.  Camp outs are where many advancement requirements are done  Don't forget to sign up and DON'T FORGET YOUR HANDBOOK.

Popcorn will be in and ready for you to pick up at the November 21 Scout meeting.

The Holiday Parade is Friday, Dec 2.  The more scouts who participate the more fun we have.  Sign up at the Troop Meetings.

*Please note that this site is the best way we have found to pass along information.  It saves time and is available to everyone since not everyone is on social media and some email addresses we have are not current.  I do my best to update the site on Tuesdays but I am only one person.  If someone sees an error or something I have forgotten please comment or email me.  Thanks.
