Good afternoon!
A quick reminder that there will be a Committee Meeting at 7pm at the Church tonight.  Everyone is welcome.

Thank you to the parents who provided goodies for the Scouts and adults who were able to attend the meeting last night.  We certainly missed those who couldn't attend because of the school concert.

Mr. Roby is looking to reschedule the Video Game lock in for as soon as we are able.  We will announce the date here and at troop meetings.

Since this is my last post before the holiday, I want to wish every one a safe and Merry Christmas.  I hope Santa is good to each of you.

So I am late this week......  the snow day threw me off.

Saturday night is the hugly anticipated Video Game night.  Bring your computers, Playstations, X Boxes, Wiis, DSes, iPads, and whatever else you need to play on them!  Don't forget cables, TVs, controllers and games (age appropriate only).  Meet at the church starting at 7pm on Saturday and we must be out by 7am on Sunday.  Have dinner before you come but the troop will provide snacks for later.

The PLC that was postponed to last week will be Monday at 6:00.  Patrol leaders and/or their assistants should plan on attending, it is one of the responsibilities you took on when you accepted the position.

Tuesday, Dec 20 at 7:00 is the Troop Committee Meeting.  Anyone is welcome to attend.  We are still in need of a volunteer for the Committee Chair position.  Mr. Zlotnick must step down and we must have another name to recharter.  Please contact myself or any of the other committee members if you have any questions about the Committee Chair position or the Troop Committee in general.  We need fresh faces and fresh ideas.

The new advancement requirements will be in effect for everyone starting Jan 1.  If you or your Scout are very close to finishing your current rank you have already had a conversation about it with Mr Roby.  In early January booklets with the new requirements will be given out.  These booklets can be stapled into your current handbook.  If anyone would like one of the new and updated handbooks let me know and I can get them for you.  Spiral bound books are about $20 and regular bound books are about $15.

Have a great weekend!

If you have signed up for this weekend's camping keep an eye on your email for Mr. Roby's email that will have more information as well as your permission slip.  Don't forget to try on your snow pants and boots and bring a helmet if you plan to go sledding.  Scouting magazine has tips for winter camping here scoutingmagazine.org/2016/11/eight-essentials-for-staying-warm-while-cold-weather-camping/
