This weekend's campout is at Boyhaven. We will meet at Camp Boyhaven at 6:00pm at site 1. Andrew R. will be buying the food. Adults will be Mr and Mrs Roby. You can print a permission slip from the FORMS page on this website. Please don't forget to bring it. The cub scouts from pack 1 will be arriving on Saturday and we will be teaching some scout skills.
A reminder that during the next troop meeting on Monday, Sept. 26 is the parents meeting. Please plan on attending.
The council Jubilee Camporee will be held next weekend Sept 30 - Oct 2 at the Schaghticoke Fair grounds. This is what the council website says about the event:
*********************************************************************************
An Epic Celebration
Our program will revolve around the history of Twin Rivers and Scouting in Upstate New York. We will have programs for every level of programs for our youth and adult volunteers.
Here is a list of the list of programs that have been confirmed to date (Please remember that anything can happen at any time, and that this list may change):
When registering, Packs will be asked if they are staying or not. If they are staying, they will be asked if they will be staying on their own or with a Troop they are affiliated with. Packs should be prepared to answer this question upon registering.
Saturday Night BBQ
We have contracted with Giffy's BBQ to cater our dinner! For an additional $10 per person, you will be able to get a half chicken dinner that includes a baked potato, coleslaw, roll, butter, cookie, and a drink. This will help you enjoy the program more and not worry about cooking dinner on Saturday!
*****************************************************************************
The cost for this event will be $15 which includes our regular meal cost of $5 plus the cost for the chicken BBQ.
More information will be available at the next troop meeting.
Hope everyone has a great week!
